Scope you can point at.
Each line is a saved item with its rate, so "two revision rounds" is on the signed proposal before anyone asks for a third.
CRM for videographers and small video studios
Nod CRM turns "can you do a brand film for us?" into a signed package and a payment, in the thread the client already wrote in. Shoot days, edit, revisions and licence as catalog items. Extra rounds logged and billed. Invoices in the client's currency.
Hi Priya, here's the package for the brand film: two shoot days, the edit, two revision rounds and a two-year licence. Open it, have a look, and sign when you're ready.
Proposal P-0042Brand film · Harbour Street Bakery$6,400.00Open and signHow a video job gets booked
A WhatsApp message or an email with the brief. It is a lead in Nod the moment it arrives: forward it to your Nod address, or connect your inbox and it is already there. The team answers from one shared inbox.
Shoot days, the edit, revision rounds and the licence live in the catalog. Pick them, add the dates and your terms, and send the proposal in the same thread. No PDF, no attachment.
The client opens the deal page, verifies with a one-time code sent to their email, and e-signs. You get the opened ping and read receipts; reminders go out if it goes quiet.
Card or bank through Stripe; UPI or card through Razorpay for clients in India. The payment is matched to the deal, so nobody reconciles a transfer against a spreadsheet.
Numbered, dated, in the client's currency, with the tax lines their country expects: EIN for the US, VAT for the EU and UK, GST for India.
The signed deal opens a project. Shoot days, the edit and each revision round are tasks on a board; share the review task with the client. Log the hours on a third round and bill them as invoice lines.
The sample deal, as a videographer sees it
Catalog
Each line is a saved item with its rate, so "two revision rounds" is on the signed proposal before anyone asks for a third.
E-sign
Usage, deliverables and the revision count are in the proposal the client signs, and the audit trail records who signed and when.
Paid on the spot
The client pays on the deal page. The invoice, INV-0042, is created the moment the payment lands.
After the shoot
On every plan, a signed deal opens a project on its own. Share the review task so the client sees it in their portal. When the third round arrives, log the hours and turn them into invoice lines.
What Nod leaves to other tools
Nod runs the booking, the signature, the payment, the invoice and the tasks. Footage, review links and delivery stay with the tools you use for that. Invoices are created in Nod and are not emailed yet.
The usual stack, and this one
| For every job | The usual stack | Nod CRM |
|---|---|---|
| The proposal | A PDF or a deck built by hand, attached to an email | Catalog items with rates, sent as a link in the thread |
| The contract | A separate e-signature tool, a separate document | Your terms travel with the proposal; one e-signature, verified by code |
| The payment | A payment link from a third app, reconciled by hand | Paid on the deal page through Stripe or Razorpay, matched automatically |
| The invoice | Typed again in an invoicing app | Created from the deal, in the client's currency, tax lines included |
| Scope creep | An awkward message about a third round | Revision rounds on the signed proposal; extra hours logged and billed as lines |
| Clients abroad | Currency and tax worked out per invoice | EIN, VAT or GST handled per client; multi-currency built in |
| Footage and review | Your review and delivery tools | Still your review and delivery tools |
Questions from videographers
Yes, on every plan. Log the hours on the project and turn them into invoice lines. The client sees the task in their portal before they see the line.
The client portal shows the tasks you share, behind a one-time code. Share the review task and the client sees it there. The video files themselves stay on your delivery or review tool; Nod does not host footage.
Invoices are issued in the client's currency with the right tax lines: EIN for a US client, VAT for the EU and UK, GST for India. Stripe handles cards and bank payments; Razorpay handles UPI and cards in India.
No. Nod runs the booking, the signature, the payment, the invoice and the project tasks. Footage, review links and delivery stay with the tools you use for that.
Yes. Owner, admin and member roles, one shared inbox, and an activity trail that records who sent, signed, changed and created what.
Not yet. Today an invoice is either paid or unpaid. Payment schedules are being built now: a retainer, milestone payments and the balance before delivery, each with its own due date, pay link and reminders, with Paid and Balance due shown on every invoice and in the client portal. There is no booking scheduler yet either; one is planned after payments.
